Biography

Dr. Patricia de G Belinelo is a Medical Doctor, completed in 2015 and with a Ph.D. in Paediatrics at the University of Newcastle, completed in 2021. With a special interest in the onset and development of common diseases in childhood, she has been working with infant respiratory health and its association with asthma during pregnancy. Originally from Brazil, she has a bachelor’s in medicine. Currently employed as a Research Medical Practitioner- Respiratory with Telethon Kids Institute and a Respiratory Technologist with CRS. Previous to that she has worked as an Associate Lecturer with the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle.


Research Interest

Dr. Patricia de G Belinelo's fields of research are mainly respiratory diseases and lung function. Her present research focuses on searching for a better understanding of maternal cofounders that affects in-utero lung development of the offspring and its association with later life comorbidities.
