Dr. Fatmaelzahraa Abdelhamied Elgohary is a professor of animal and environmental hygiene in the faculty of veterinary medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt. She is a graduate in veterinary sciences from Mansoura University, Egypt, in 2002. She did her Master’s in veterinary sciences (same university, 2006) and Ph.D. from the same faculty, 2011. She was an associate professor of animal and environmental hygiene in the Hygiene and zoonoses department, Veterinary faculty, Mansoura University, Egypt, 2016-2020, and from January 2021 until the present, she is a full professor in the same department. She got two postdoctoral scholarships, in 2013, USDA, Arkansas University, the USA for 6 months, and in 2019, Belgium, ILVO institute for 6 months too. She served as co-head of the hygiene and zoonoses department, Veterinary faculty, Mansoura university, 2011 until the present. She is the head of the quality assurance unit in the faculty, April 2021 until the present.
Dr. Fatmaelzahraa Abdelhamied Elgohary's research interests are Epidemiology, Animal hygiene, Biosecurity in farm animals, antimicrobial resistance, biological control of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, Aquaculture hygiene, eradication of parasites, combating of contagious diseases.
