Dr. Hamzah Alghzawi is a researcher in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, USA. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Al Albayt University, Jordan, and a Master’s degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Jordan. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Nursing Science at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, USA. He has been awarded Karen Soeken Excellent in Dissertation Award in 2019. This award is presented to a Doctoral of Philosophy graduate who demonstrated the application of exceptional quantitative skills in a doctoral dissertation. He has been awarded Princess Muna Al-Hussein Award for distinguished nurses. He has been awarded the Faculty of Nursing Academic Excellence Award at Hashemite University, Jordan. He has been also awarded the Faculty of Nursing Academic Excellence Award at Al Albayt University, Jordan. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Associations. He has been one of the APNA BOD Student Scholars. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, USA.
Dr. Hamzah Alghzawi is interested in the fields of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. His present research focuses on smoking cessation among people with severe mental illness.
