I studied Microbiology at the University of Hazara in Mansehra Pakistan, where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree (BSc Hons) in 2008. During my studies, I was always a curious and research-active student, since I knew that one must begin early to pursue a scientific career. After completing of Bachelor's program, I worked as a lecturer of Veterinary Microbiology at Agriculture University Peshawar, Pakistan. And there I learn a lot about myself and of working with people of different disciplines. Who teach me the discipline and organization of a company I also strengthen my conviction of being a scientist, for that reason, I went to Sweden, to learn state-of-the-art techniques from highly qualifying scientists and to have an important experience of studying abroad. So I have completed my Master's in the field of Microbiology from Stockholm University in 2013. I also did a research Traineeship at Stockholm University Microbiology Department in the field of Prokaryotic genetics. Then I come back to my home country Pakistan and joined the Microbiology Department of Government Post Graduate College Abbottabad in 2014. After that due to my great interest in the field of Microbiology, I find a Ph.D. position at Huazhong Agricultural University Wuhan (China). Furthermore, in my Ph.D. program, I studied Antibiotic Residue detection from food matrices, and obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2019 and currently I am serving as Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Saeed Ahmed's research interests include Antibiotic residue and Food safety, development of a method for antibiotic residue detection from the food matrices. (Recombinant plasmid construction, mutant protein construction, Protein purification, Elisa).
