Biography

Dr. Hosny Mohammed Ahmed El-Masry is a Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology, Faculty of Medicine - Al-Azhar University, Egypt since 2014. He served as a professor since 2014, 5 years as an assistant professor from 2009 to 2014, and 5 years as a lecturer from 2004 to 2009 in the same university, acquired his undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Medicine Assiut University (MBBCH) September 1990, MSc 1995 and MD Pediatrics and Neonatology from Assiut University in December 2000. He served as a member of many societies and associations. He holds a membership in the Arab neonatology Forum, the Egyptian pediatric Society, and the Egyptian society for Neonatology. He is an editor and reviewer of several medical journals. Dr.Hosny Mohammed Ahmed El-Masry has authored and co-authored several publications in medical journals. He also supervised many MD and master thesis. He was the president of many pediatric congresses. He has attended many National and International congresses and scientific meetings as chairman and speaker. Generally, He had been also working with medical students in clinical activities as a supervisor at different hospitals and health centers, where students are getting their practical skills. I have had training on Theoretical, clinical, editorial, and practical teaching of Pediatrics, Neonatology, for undergraduates since 2004, Clinical, editorial, and practical teaching of Pediatrics and Neonatology for postgraduates since 2004 till now, Pediatrics and Neonatology for postgraduates since 2009, till now. The training helped him to look at the ways enhancing problem identification, prioritization, and implementation strategies to improve the health services of a given community.


Research Interest

Dr. Hosny Mohammed Ahmed El-Masry's research interests are Pediatrics and Neonatology, Nutrition, Pediatric Hematology, PICU, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Endocrinology, and Pediatric Pulmonology. I have published about 30 papers in reputed international and national journals. I participated in different qualitative and quantitative researches.
