I have completed my Mphil and Ph.D. at Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (Affiliated with Bharathiyar University). I have worked as JRF, SRF, Research Fellow at SACON from 2009 to 2015. I have worked as an Assistant professor in the PG& Research Department of Botany at NGM College Pollachi from the year 2016 to 2017. I had worked as a Consultant for WWF between 2017 to 2018. I had worked as a Project Scientist in the OWL organization between 2018 to 2019. Now I am working as an Assistant Professor in the PG & Research Department of Botany, Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sciences for Women, Namakkal.

Dr. C. Anbarasu's research interests include Plant taxonomy, Pollination, and Seed dispersal, Ecology, Ethnobotany, Forestry, Horticulture, and Nursery Management, Vegetation Ecology, Plant and animal interaction, Plant anatomy, Phytochemistry.
