Dr. Shireen is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Trauma General Surgery and In-charge Medical Education and Skills Lab at Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences (Affiliated with JSMU). She is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. She is a certified health quality professional, certified health professional educationalist and clinical research certified professional from DUHS. Dr. Shireen is an experienced trauma and disaster training Instructor and working in collaboration with WHO, NSET, and USAID in a number of projects for injury prevention, road safety, disaster, and trauma training. She is a facilitator and examiner of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. She is also a member of multiple national & international societies and holding positions in a number of organizations and is currently, National coordinator of the Primary Trauma care Foundation (PTC) the Oxford United Kingdom. She has been awarded gold honor by PTC (This award recognizes that the individual has organized at least 4 PTC Course cascades and has trained at least 10 instructors). She has to her credit the number of original research articles published in medical journals. She the author of the book “TOACS for Surgery” by paramount publishers Pvt ltd. Furthermore, she is also an editor of the first trauma manual of Pakistan “TOP to TOE trauma”.
