Dr. Eglantina Dervishi is a Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana ( U.T.), and the coordinator of the "Optime" Scientific Journal. She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences U.T. in 2005. She has completed her doctorate in 2013 in Clinical Psychology, Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, Italy. She has worked at the Penintentiary Hospital Center and I.E.V.P. Vaqarr for a period of several years. She has also worked at the Mental Health Laboratory at the University of Bologna. She has been the Head of the Department of Psychology at Albanian University from 2013-2015. Currently, she teaches at the Master's Degree Program in School Psychology and Professional Master in Psychological Counseling. Member of the Association of Albanian Psychologists 2015. Member of Order of Psychologists 2017. Member of the editorial board of the “Journal of Psychiatry and Psychology Research: Well-being, Empowerment, and Affective Profiles. an online peer-reviewed journal. (Editorial Board Member) 2018. External experts in the Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education, 2019. Partners/contact persons in the Positive Youth Development (PYD) cross-national project from 2019.
Dr. Eglantina Dervishi's research focused is in the field of mental health of children and adolescents. She has been an author of various scientific articles within the country and abroad and has participated as an organizer and participant in many National and International Conferences. His present research focuses on positive youth development with a focus on vulnerable groups as minorities.
