Rizwan Hashmi is having knowledge and experience for more than 20 years in the field of agronomy, plant pathology, epidemiology, plant diseases management, plant-microbe interaction, plant breeding and genetics with emphasis in molecular breeding, agriculture biotechnology, plant biology, plant systematic, Environmental microbiology and Environmental Sciences. He is working as a Technical Manager at Aerobiology Laboratory Associates, Inc. Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He authored more than 40 peer review research articles in different international journals, and also serves as ad hoc reviewer and editor in few Pakistani Scientific journals.
He is highly skilled at initiating, executing and directing complex research projects in field, greenhouse and laboratory settings. He is also involved in managing and Quality Assurance in agricultural and horticultural research operations in pursuit of improvements in such economically significant areas as crop yield, disease-pest-screening, biocides (fungicides, insecticides and herbicides) testing, fungal biology and herbicide resistance. He also has a thorough working knowledge of advanced diagnostic techniques, including immunoassay, SDS-Page, proficient in using molecular marker techniques including PCR, qPCR and RT-PCR. His expertise also includes experimental design, writing software for specific statistical analysis.
