Biography

Dr. Naba Raj Devkota, Ph.D., is a Professor and Vice-Chancellor of Gandaki University, Kaski, Pokhara, Nepal. He is a graduate of Massey University, New Zealand in 2000. He did a Master’s in Agricultural Science (Agricultural System, Animal Sc., 1993) from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and a Ph.D. from Massey University, New Zealand, 2000. He was a senior Professor in Animal Science for Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries (AVF), Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan Nepal 2011-2020, and Editor-In-Chief of Journal of Agriculture and Forestry University (JAFU) during 2017-2000. He served as Head of the Department of Animal Nutrition and Fodder Production of AVF during 2013-2020.


Research Interest

Dr. Naba Raj Devkota, Ph.D., is working at the science-policy-practice interface in natural resources management and planning; rural development; agriculture; forestry; livestock and food production; rangeland management; livestock development; participatory approaches; research and extension institutional building; climate change and environmental protection; biodiversity conservation; and organic farming. Between 1987 to date.
