Dr. Oyewusi, Isaac Kayode is a lecturer and Head of the Department of Horticultural Technology of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado- Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He had his Ph. D program in Plant Physiology, School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Department of Crop, Soil and Pest Management, Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2018. He had his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agricultural Extension and Farm Management at the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, Ondo state in 1997, and proceeded for his National Youth Corps Service (NYSC) in 1988 in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He then proceeded for his Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Crop Production with distinction in the year 2000. He did his Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at Usmanu Danfodio University between 2007 and 2008 and obtained his Master’s in Crop Management at the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2005. He is a Researcher at the Centre for Research and Innovation Development in Crop Production and Entomology discipline He currently serves as a member, Molecular Biology and Research (MBR), at the Federal Polytechnic, Member, Horticultural Society of Nigeria, (HORTSON), Member, Association of seed scientist of Nigeria, (ASSN) and Member, Crop Science Society of Nigeria (CSSN).
Dr. Oyewusi's research interests include Use of organic extracts as potent insect repellents/antifeedant to control insect pest of crops, Health implication (s) of heavy metal concentration on vegetables. Allelopathic and Phytotoxic effects of some weed extracts on plant growth and yield. Genotype by Environment interaction of allelopathic plants as it affects growth and yield of vegetable crops.
