Dr. Raj S. Singh has obtained his Ph.D (Ecology) and Master degree (Botany) from Kumaun University, India and is presently working as Principal Scientist and Associate Professor at CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research under Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has more than twenty three years of research experience in the fields of structural and functional components of agro-ecosystems, restoration ecology, environmental impact assessment and management planning, carbon sequestration in different land uses. Dr. Raj has several honors and awards to his credit including Delegation Scientist to Germany, UK- Commonwealth Fellow, Director (Honorary) Green Earth Citzen, Sweden, CSIR-CIMFR Filing of Patent Awards, Fellow of International Society of Tropical Ecology, India. He has also served as Editor, Editorial board member, Reviewer in the fields of environment and ecology of several international and national journals. Dr. Raj has successfully completed more than 50 ecosystem research and consultancy projects successfully and contributed significantly in the field of environmental management of degraded and contaminated ecosystems and Bio-remediation. He published more than 150 research papers, in high impact factor journal of repute including in the most prestigious journal Nature (London), chapters in book, proceeding of seminar along with five patents and copyright.
Dr. Raj also supervised 5 Ph.D scholars and has teaching experience of Ph.D, Post graduate students at the national academy of CSIR institute. He has organized several international and national seminars and delivered several key note address in national and international universities.
