Biography

Firstly, I received my Master's degree in Plant Biochemistry from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and then I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Putra, Malaysia. For experience and job history, I have a superb meticulous excellent experience in different scientific and administrative jobs as head chairperson, Department of Biochemistry, Department of Biology, Deputy Dean, and as head chairperson of various academic committees at the Department, College, and University levels. I later acted in the capacity of Dean, College of Applied and Industrial Sciences, University of Juba, Sudan. Then, I joined the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, King Abdul-Aziz University, Saudi Arabia (from 2012-up to date). I also participated effectively in developing Department curriculum, teaching, accreditation process, and activities in the faculty covering various assignments. Furthermore, I possess an active profile in research and scholarship as demonstrated by successful grant applications and positive contributions in a wide range of research projects, leading to peer-reviewed publications and participation in many scientific activities. Also, I have supervised many Ph.D. and M.Sc. students and acted as an internal and external examiner for many post-graduate students. Then, I actively presented and attended many local, regional, and international conferences. Also, I have authored and co-authored three book chapters, and many scientific papers. I have also reviewed scientific papers in many Journals. Finally, I won the University of Khartoum Prize for the best result in B.Sc. Hons. (Botany).


Research Interest

Dr. Abu Zeid's area of interest includes Phytochemistry, Pesticide Biochemistry, Biochemical Toxicology, Animal Physiology, Environmental Toxicology, Plant Biochemistry.
