Biography

Dr. Kadie O’Byrne is currently undertaking Residency training in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Melbourne. Before Melbourne, she graduated from Murdoch University in Perth, before pursuing the track to specialization. She is currently completing a dual master's, Masters of Veterinary Science, and Masters of Veterinary Studies. She has a strong interest in research and academia and has been involved in reviewing manuscripts for multiple journals. Her interest in Academia and research stems from the desire to help shape the research/literature and clinical decision making within the profession, to enable us to practice Veterinary medicine to the highest standard.


Research Interest

Dr. Kadie O’Byrne's research interests include Aspects of Veterinary Surgery including orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurologic, and oncologic surgery. Previous areas of publication include splenic neoplasia and haemangiosarcoma. Current areas of research are within the field of biomechanics on tendon repair and kinematic gait analysis.
