Dr. Vera M. Popović, Ph.D. is Senior Research Associate, of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia, Novi Sad, Serbia. She has graduated Biology on the Faculty of Natural Mathematics Sciences at the University of Montenegro, Montenegro, 1998. She did Specialistís of Biology, from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Natural Mathematics Sciences, 2001; and Masters in 2002. She did Ph.D. at the Faculty of Agriculture, at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, 2010. She works as a researcher at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and is a participant in four current projects. She was a Quality Coordinator for ISO Standard 9001 and 14001. She is an author and co-author of 450 publications, of which 30 are in International journals and 15 patents: (10 cultivars and 5 technical solutions), six monographs, and two books. She was a member of the commission in ten doctoral dissertations. Ten cultivars of which she was Autor: i) Culvivars of soybean (Glycine max): NS Zoja; California bluebell (Phacelia tanacetifolia): NS Priora; ii) Faba bean (Vicia faba L.): NS Stribog; iii) two varieties of millet (Panicum miliaceum): Biserka and Rumenka, iiii) two varieties of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor): Gold and Prima; iiiii) variety of pea forage (Pisum sativum): NS Rojal; and iiiiii) two variety of linseed (Linum usitatissimum): NS Primus and NS Marko. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Horticulture and Plant Research (Switzerland), Journal of PKB Agroeconomic, Belgrade (Serbia), and Journal of Alternative Crops and Cultivation Practices, Novi Sad (Serbia). She is a reviewer of Journal Agriculture and Forestry (Podgorica), Genetika-Belgrade, PSE, Pakistan Journal of Botany, Grass and Forage Science, Plant Soil Environment; etc.
Dr. Vera M. Popović's research interests include Biotechnical Sciences, Agriculture, Plant production, Plant nutrition, Climate change, Conventional and organic production of Cereals, Oil Crops and Forage Crops.
