Dr. Bidyut Prava Mishra was born in the year 1980 at Tulasideipur village, Banpur of Khordha district in Odisha, India. She obtained First class in matriculation from Kanak Manjari Girl’s High School, Khallikote in the year 1995, and First class in intermediate from Rama Chandra Mardaraj Science College, Khallikote in the year 1997. She then got admitted into the B.V.Sc. and A. H. degree program in 1998 and completed in 2004 from the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha with First-class Honours by availing University Merit Scholarship. Subsequently, she completed her M.V.Sc. in Livestock Products Technology (LPT) in 2012 from the premier national institute of India i.e. Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) with an award of First rank holder with highest OGPA in the discipline of LPT in the year 2012. Dr. Mishra also served as Veterinary Officer in the Fishery and Animal Resources Development Department (FARD), Government of Odisha from 2004 to 2015. Presently Dr. Mishra is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Livestock Products Technology in the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India since 2015. Dr. Mishra published more than 30 research articles in various journals with National and International repute besides more than 20 popular articles and several book chapters in various journals and compendiums. She has guided more than 5 students as a minor adviser. Besides she was awarded with Best Oral as well as Best Poster award in various National seminars, symposium, and conferences.

Dr. Bidyut Prava Mishra's research interests are Livestock Products Technology, Dairy Technology, Abattoir Practice, By-Products Technology, Veterinary Public Health, Epidemiology, Milk hygiene, Meat hygiene, Clean Milk Production.
