Mônica Carminatti graduated in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2013). Ph.D. in Dental Clinic, with an emphasis in Paediatric Dentistry, from Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at the same university (2020), with Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (CAPES) scholarship. She is a member researcher at the Laboratory of Studies in Orofacial Motricity (LEMO) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, developing interdisciplinary clinical research in the field of Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences with Paediatric Dentistry. She participated in University Extension, Research, and Teaching Projects at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She was a joint supervisor and examining the board of undergraduate thesis in the field of Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. She has experience in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences, with an emphasis on Orofacial Motricity, working mainly on the following topics: clinical research, myofunctional therapy, ankyloglossia, malocclusion, oral habits and surface electromyography in oral functions.
