Saad Shama is a Professor Emeritus of Plant Pathology, University of Alexandria, Faculty of Agriculture, Saba Basha, since August 2014. He is a former Cultural Counselor-Embassy of Egypt at New Delhi – India (January 2010- February 2014). He worked at University of Alexandria, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba Basha) since 1977 as a Demonstrator, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Professor, Vice Dean for the community service affairs & environment development through the period 1/2010 to 1/2011 and Vice Dean for Post Graduate Studies and Research from 8/2002-8/2008. He presented many research papers about plant diseases on several international conferences around the world including India, Thailand, China, Korea South, Japan, Belgium and Germany. He published around 38 research papers in national and international journals. He signed many MOUs between Alexandria University and Indian Universities.
