Pilios-Dimitris STAVROU is a part of the teaching staff in the Department of Psychology at the University of Athens. He obtained Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Athens; Master in Psychology specialized in Research (Master II - Parcours recherche, Mention Psychologie), University of Picardie; Master in Counseling and Speech Therapy in Special Education, University of Athens; Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, University of Paris Descartes; European Doctorate in Clinical Psychopathology, University of Picardie Jules Verne, France (Laboratory of Applied Psychology) and the University of Lund, Sweden (Institute of Psychology). Member of the Hellenic Psychological Society (ELPSE). Member of the International Winnicott Association. Member of the International Association for Child and Adolescence Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP). Member of the French Psychiatric Association for Children and Adolescents - SFPEADA. Member of the Association pour l’Enseignement de la Sémiologie Psychiatrique.
Pilios-Dimitris STAVROU is interested in the fields of research of Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, Integrative and Psychodynamic-Psychanalytic Psychotherapy. His present research focuses on searching for: 1. the outcomes of psychodynamic psychotherapy with incorporated mentalization-focused approaches for children with ADHD and mentalization impairment, 2. the link between anorexia nervosa and alexithymia: a psychodynamic approach through the Rorschach’s projective test.
