Dr. Divya Suguna Jayakar is working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology at Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada. I did my undergraduate(MBBS) at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry affiliated to Pondicherry University with master's in Clinical Microbiology(MD Microbiology) from the same institution. I have 4 years of experience in teaching undergraduate medical students and also as a Clinical Microbiologist. Generally, I have been also training nurses and physiotherapy students in Microbiology. I have undergone training in Hospital infection control at Shankara Nethralaya Academy, Chennai and also have under gone training in NABL ISO 15149:2012Internal quality Manager training. In regard to academics, I have undergone training in the Revised Basic workshop in Medical Education and also Curriculum Implementation Support Program(CISP) at my institution, to equip myself for the new curriculum for undergraduate medical students. Apart from these, I have attended many conferences both state and international conferences to keep myself updated in the ever-changing field of Medicine.

Dr. Divya Suguna Jayakar research interests are Clinical Microbiology, Bacteriology, Mycology. I am also interested in the field of Medical Education and interested in learning new skills and techniques for teaching. I have published 2 papers in National journals and is currently participating in many research projects at my institute.
