Dr. Arumugam Subramanian Senthilkumar is a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of psychiatry in Government Vellore Medical College Hospital under Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, India. I am a graduate of Madras Medical College, and postgraduate of Government Stanley Medical College and have a 7 year and 9 months experience in the field of psychiatry. Generally, I have been also working with medical students in clinical attachments as a faculty at the GVMCH, Haufenburg-Adukkambarai, where students are getting their practical skills. I have had training on IMNCI (Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood illness) and biomedical research methodology, and exposure in others listed below. The training helped me to look at the ways enhancing problem identification, prioritization and implementation strategies to improve the health services of a given community.
Dr. Arumugam Subramanian Senthilkumar has research interests in Child Psychiatry include Autism spectrum disorders, juvenile forensic psychiatry, paraphilias, and ADHD related articles. He has published papers in reputed national journals on suicide, factitious disorder, and disability certification, and a systematic review on self-cannibalism, and has participated in different qualitative and quantitative research with analysis of caregiver burden and psychiatric morbidity in alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
