Dr. Concetta Pirrone is a Researcher PhD in the Department of Educational Science at University of Catania, Italy. She obtained first Bachelor of Pedagogy at University of Catania and after in Clinic Psychology at Kore University. She also obtained her DEA in Social Psychology at Ecole des Haute Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris (France). She earned Ph.D. in Foundations and Methods of Training Processes. She has been collaborating for many years with the chair of pediatrics and child neuropsychiatry (Prof. Ruggeri Martino), she assesses cognitive function in individuals, children and adults, affected by rare metabolic genetic diseases and immune deficiency. This evaluation involved psychometric tests of cognitive functions and the evaluation of behavior. Since 2014 research activity has been aimed at deepening knowledge relating to play with building block and cognitive development. Since 2017 she has been collaborating with University of Spain on the issue of Dyslexia’ effects on self-esteem and behavior.
