Biography

Mr. Lucas Loiola Ponte Albuquerque Ribeiro is a medical student from Universidade de Fortaleza (Unifor) in Brazil, currently at the 9th semester of 12. He is currently enrolled as the National Publication and Research Director (PRD) of IFMSA Brazil, an National Member Organization of the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) the most renowned and accredited Group of Students in the World. Also as member of InciSioN - The International Student Surgical Network, as part of the Education International Team- an international non-profit organization, consisting of medical students, residents and young doctors from all over the world who have come together to discuss about, educate on, advocate for, and perform research in Global Surgery. He has experience in the areas of Medical Education, serving as Member of the National Medical Education Team of IFMSA Brazil, Urology, Neurology, being part of the Academic League of Neurology, Neurossurgery, Genetics and Psychiatry (LANNGEP), General Surgery, Global Surgery and Gynaecology. Besides practicing Medicine, he is active in urology, neurology, gynaecology, global surgery, medical education and public health research and publication.

Mr. Lucas Loiola Ponte Albuquerque Ribeiro area of interest include medical education themes, urology, gynaecology, neurology, neurosurgery, global and general surgery, particularly in Infertility, Education, minimally invasive surgery, videossurgery, Peripheral Neuropathy, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuropediatry, Men’s Health and public health.
