Research Assistant Burcu AK ÇİMEN obtained his BSc and MSc in Fisheries Faculty from Çukurova University (Turkey) in 2009 and 2013, respectively. She is working as a research assistant at Cukurova University, Department of Basic Sciences in since 2012. She published about 55 scientific publications; 3 book chapters. She has worked as a researcher for about 23 national and international projects about as researcher in 20 projects and she has 6 scientific awards. Her research interests include algal biotechnology, microalgae and macroalgae (seaweed) culture, algae culture (Laboratory, fermenter, ponds, and photobioreactors), diatom and diatom culture, algae isolation and purification, cultivation, molecular identification and phylogenetic analysis, determination of biochemical content of algae, increasing the amount of valuable metabolites, extraction and purification, lipid, fatty acid and pigment production from algae, field studies in marine biology.
