Dr. Seema Tekwani is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep MedIcine at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. United States. She completed her medical school at TN Medical College and B.Y.L.Nair Hospital in India. She pursued an Internal Medicine residency at Harlem Hospital Center, affiliate of Columbia University and Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She holds a Masters in Health Administration. She is currently the Co-Director for Quality with Emory Critical Care Center. She is an active member with Society of Critical Care Medicine and European Society of Intensive Medicine.
Dr. Seema Tekwani is interested in fields of Critical Care Medicine, ICU Mechanical ventilation, Non-invasive mechanical ventilation, Advanced modes of mechanical ventilation, and medical education. Her research is directed towards Quality improvement and knowledge translation to bedside within Intensive care Units, improving processes and understanding how we can improve efficiency within our health care systems. She is developing innovative solutions to avoid patient errors, improve patient safety and enhance multidisciplinary approach to delivering care in the intensive care units with the overall goal to provide quality evidence based patient care.
