Dr. Geângelo Petene Calvi was born in 1983. He graduated in Forest Engenier from Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2006), having a master degree (2008) in Tropical Forest Science at National Institute of Amazonian Researches with in the subject "Degradede land rehabilitation". Since 2013 he worked as a Techinitian of Tropical Forest Seed Laboratory of INPA, in Manaus, Brazil. In 2015 successfully defended a thesis on "Storage of the recalcitrant seed of Eugenia stipitata McVaugh: thecnological and physiological aspects", in scientific specialty "Silviculture". He is coordinator of Scientific comittie of Forest Seed of Abrates (Brazilian Assocciation of Seed Thechnology) and is member of editorial staff of diverses international scientific journals. The main activity is in tropical forest seeds Technology and physiology. Research and applied research activity is related to seed storage behavior, degraded land rehabilitation, tropical forest seed germinations and production, new and potencial technologies to forest seeds to assist small seed producers and others subjects.
Dr. Geângelo P. Calvi research interest are tropical forest seeds Technology and physiology, germination, seed storage behavior, nursery, degraded land reabilitation and new (and cheap) technologies to tropical seed production that could be easily transfers to familiar producers in Amazon.
