Dr. Yehia A.-G.Mahmoud is working at Botany and Microbiology Department, Microbiology section, Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt, as a prof. Dr. Of Microbiology (Mycology). I have done my M.Sc. in the field of Microbiology. However, in 1993 I have gotten the chance to do my Ph.D. on Cryptococcus neoformans in Virginia Tech. Biochemistry and Anaerobic Microbiology department with Walter G.Niehaus through Egyptian- USA channel system. My thesis title was "Biochemical and Molecular Characterization of Fatty acid synthetase from C.neofrmans. Also, I got personal postdoc. Grant from JSPS of Japan to do post doctoral work in Kumamoto University, Molecular Genetics department on Host lung gene expression response to fungal infection with Fusarium kyshuense. Again, I travelled back to USA, Yale University to carry out training in Biotechnology field, working in Gene knock out from Candida albicans with Brain Woung (Infectious disease department). I have supervised a large numbers of theses either M.Sc. or Ph.D within different topics inside Mycology.
