Biography

Dr. José Hipolito Donis Hernandez was trained in General Medicine at the Miguel Perez Carreño Hospital in Caracas Venezuela, and in Magister Scientiarum in Cardiology at Central University of Venezuela in Caracas in 1974. He obtained Training in Cardiology in St Luke’s Episcopal Hospital Texas Medical Center in Houston Texas in 1980. He has been an established investigator for the Venezuelan Council for Scientific Research (FONACIT) since 1991. He is Co- author of numerous publication in leading international journals in cardiology, toxicology and parasitological. He has contributed to the training and tutorial of dozen of fellow in clinical cardiology at the institute de Investigations cardiovascular of the University of the Andes in Mérida, Venezuela. He is a coordinator of medical scientific commission of CONICIT in Venezuela.


Research Interest

Dr. Jose Hipolito Donis Hernandez has conducted extensive clinical and experimental research on the pathogenic role of autonomic nervous system in clinical conditions such as: Chagas ‘heart disease, adolescent hypertensive disease, venous thrombosis disease, autonomic crisis in severe tetanus.
