Dr. Penny Kessler DNP, RN currently works as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, and as a nurse on the Hematology/Oncololgy unit at M Health Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her expertise is teaching undergraduate didactic and clinical nursing students, holistic nursing, symptom management with integrative nursing, reflective clinical practice, adult health and illness, assessment, clinical skills, lab and simulation. Her research has been published in Nurse Educator, Nursing and Care Open Access Journal, Omaha System Intervention Library: Integrative Nursing Guideline Appendix and Metadata website, and book chapter in Handbook of Home Health Administration (2015). She has presented as a guest speaker at local, regional and international conferences and symposiums.
Dr. Penny Kessler's research interests span Teaching, holistic and integrative nursing for symptom management, reflective clinical practice, and adult health and illness.
