Prof. walid Shehab-Eldin is an associate professor of Internal Medicine (Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit), faculty of Medicine, menoufia University, Egypt. He is also a consultant Endocrinologist in Menoufia university Hospitals, Egypt. He is also a consultant of Internal Medicine (Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit), Saudi- German Hospitals, Aseer, KSA. Prof. Shehab-Eldin had been graduated from Menoufia University of Egypt in 1998 with a Bachelor degree of Medicine and Surgery. He underwent clinical training and postgraduate studies in Internal Medicine Department at Menoufia university Hospitals with a master degree in internal Medicine in 2003. In 2006, He moved to the University of Saskatchewan, Canada to perform the practical part of his MD degree which focused on the bidirectional relationship between Diabetes Mellitus and the Kidney. In 2010, He got his MD degree in Internal Medicine and promoted to a lecturer of Diabetes and endocrinology unit. In 2015, he had been promoted to an associate professor of diabetes and Endocrinology. His clinical interest is the study of Diabetes pathogenesis and its relationship with obesity, kidney disease and liver disease. He has more than 20 international publications with more than 250 citations. He is a member and speaker for the following associations: Department of Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit, Menoufia University, Egypt; Delta and Canal Association of Diabetes and Metabolism (DCAD); The Egyptian Society of Diabetes and Lipidology (Dia Egypt); Pan Arab Conference on Diabetes (PACD); Arab Diabetes Forum (ADF); The Egyptian Society of Diabetic Foot (ESDF); Sharkia Association for Diabetologist (SHAD); Misr Internal Medicine Association (MIMA); Aseer Diabetes Club (ADC).
