Biography

Dr. Yasemin Saygideger MD, PhD had completed her medical degree at Trakya University, She received her Pulmonary Specialist Degree in Turkey in 2010 and her PhD in Molecular Medicine at Dokuz Eylul University, Turkey in 2015. She studied at Georgetown University Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Washington DC, USA, for 3 years as a post-doc at Toretsky-Uren Lab and currently works as Asst. Professor of Pulmonary Medicine and Assist. Professor of Biotechnology at Cukurova University, Turkey. She had built a translational research laboratory in her department with focusing on biomarker discovery for pulmonary diseases. She is a member of European Respiratory Society and also a member of Turkish Thoracic Society, which she has active role in the executive committees, since 2008.


Research Interest

Dr. Saygideger’s focus is translational research in lung diseases. She studies biomarker discovery in respiratory diseases, cell signaling in cancer, small molecule inhibitor discovery, cancer stem cells, Hypoxia pathways in cancer, non coding RNAs. She is also interested in Epidemiology of Lung diseases.
