Dr. Richa Gupta is presently working in one of the leading government medical colleges of India as a Professor of Hematopathology. She graduated in Pathology from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, India in 2006. Since then, she has been working in different capacities and has over 13 years of post PG experience in the field of pathology especially haematology. Her current duties include diagnostics, research and teaching apart from administrative responsibilities. Working in a tertiary care hospital and she is presently involved in diagnosis of whole spectrum of haematological disorders ranging from benign to malignant pertaining to red cells, white cells and platelets and routinely reports peripheral blood, bone marrow aspirate and biopsies along with lymph node specimens. As a part of her teaching responsibilities, she is involved in teaching both post graduate and undergraduate medical students as well as paramedical staff and lab technicians. Her research activities includes inception and supervision of thesis of post graduate medical students every year, reporting interesting cases as well as undertaking projects in haematology. She has more than 30 international publications in her name including original articles, case reports and letter to editor. She has also undertaken many training and certificate courses in newer techniques in haematology including flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular genetics.
Dr. Richa Gupta current areas of interest include flow cytometry, lymphomas and primary and secondary immunodeficiency disorders.
