Dr. Helio de Souza Junior is currently in the graduation period studying Agronomic Engineering in the State of Paraná - Brazil. It is part of the scientific initiation with research in Technological Development and Innovation, developing works with maize culture focusing on the selection of promising hybrids for different agronomic variables in the Genetics and Improvement Area. Has experience in the area of Plant breeding, with emphasis on Quantitative Genetics. He has been part of Editora Mecenas publishing house since the period of 2016 until the present moment and at the moment collaboration in the journal ASB (Agronomy Science and Biotechnology).

Dr. Helio de Souza Junior research interests is in Improvement of Common Corn and Special Corn, Seed Multiplication, Conservation of Germplasm, Genotype x Environment Interaction, Stability and Adaptability, Environmental Stratification.
