Dr. Aldhorae Khalid is assistant professor and chairman of orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedics department at faculty of dentistry, Thamar University, Yemen. He is graduated with dental Bachelor degree from college of dentistry, Baghdad University, Iraq. He finished his master degree in orthodontics from college of dentistry, Baghdad University, Iraq. He received his initial research training in orthodontic department, Bonn University, Bonn, Germany, that led to the award of a Ph.D. Thereafter, he shifted focus toward craniofacial genetics, and obtained a post doctorate. Since then, he has held faculty positions at several dental colleges, including the College of Dentistry University of Thamar and University of Science and Technology, University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Aldhorae co-discovered the genetic risk factors for cleft lip and palate. He appointed as external supervisor for PhD student at the department of community oral health and clinical prevention, faculty of dentistry, university of Malaya, Malaysia. Currently he is international researcher in Bonn dental laser center , oral technology , orthodontic department , also in craniofacial research at institute of human genetics , Bonn university hospital m Bonn , Germany .He is active guide , mentor and supervisor of postgraduate master degree students at university of science and technology , Yemen . Dr. Aldhorae has either authored or co-authored many peer reviewed publications in scientific journals and book chapters that form a foundation for future studies genetic of craniofacial anomalies.
Dr. Aldhorae Khalid research interests include Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, Craniofacial genetics, cleft lip and palate research, Oral health quality of life, craniofacial anthropometry, dental laser.
