Dr. Bram Kilapong, is currently serving as Head of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Department in Awal Bros Hospital Batam, Indonesia. He was trained as anesthesiologist and intensive care medicine specialty in University of indonesia. He furthered his study in Pain Medicine in University of Montpellier. Nationally, he is an active member of Indonesian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care,and he have served as regional scientific committee in 2013-2016. Currently, He is a member of several Critical Care Organizations such as European Society of Intensive Care medicine (ESICM), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Intensive Care Society (ICS) and American Thorasic Society (ATS). In SCCM, He is a committee member of FCCS Obstetrics since 2016 and also contributor to FCCS Obstetrics book. He have several times served as reviewers of awards and abstracts in ESICM and SCCM and also have served as moderator in SCCM Annual Congress.
Dr. Bram Kilapong have special interest in emergency and critical care as he believed that as a continuum of care in both to maximize outcome of the patients. His particular areas of interests are hemodynamic monitoring, extracorporeal organ support, mechanical ventilation, sepsis and infection, administrative and organization, and medical rehabilitation. His researches include diaphragm and muscle ultrasonography in critical care patients, central venous pressure de-escalation fluid therapy. He is currently working on his books about chronic critical care.
