Dr. Manal H.G. Kanaan has obtained BSA and MSc in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Baghdad, Iraq and she awarded Ph.D. in public health/Meat microbiology and Meat safety from University of Baghdad, Iraq. To date, she has published 7 research articles in public health/meat microbiology and meat safety and the antibiotic resistance in the different national and international food microbiology and veterinary science journals. She also serves as a member of the Editorial board for one journal in food science. She has reviewed more than 20 research articles. Currently, she has a professor of microbiology and anatomy in the Technical Institute of Suwaira/ Middle Technical University.
Dr. Manal H.G.Kanaan research interest focuses primarily on Public health/meat microbiology and meat safety and Veterinary Medicine. Here special interest in on understanding the molecular resistance and the study of resistant genes and its relation to the emergence of resistant foodborne pathogens and how to find interventions against these pathogens.
