Dr. Edit Gara graduated from the Semmelweis University (MD) and completed her PhD studies from the Semmelweis University. Her PhD research focused on endothelial derivatives of pluripotent stem cells and vascular tissue engineering. She performed her research studies at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, London and had an academic visit at the Ruprecht-Karls Universitat, Heidelberg. As a post-doctoral researcher, her interest shifted to biomarkers in heart failure and in mechanical circulatory support and state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging. She studied CMR at the University of Oxford with the EACVI clinical research grant.
Dr. Edit Gara research interests are heart failure, biomarkers, mechanical circulatory support, endothelial function, cardiac imaging.
