Dr. Mandeep Tomar, a resident of Nahan district Sirmour Himachal Pradesh, India completed his schooling from prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Nahan in 2002.He commenced his medical career in 2009 after completing his M.B.B.S. from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla Himachal Pradesh.Dr.Tomar completed his post graduation in Ophthalmology from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla in 2013.He did his senior residency in Ophthalmology from Dr. Rajender Prasad Government Medical College Tanda Himachal Pradesh from 2015 to 2018.In May 2018, he passed DNB Ophthalmology (Diplomate in National Board) examination at Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi, India. At present he is working as a medical officer in the department of ophthalmology at Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College Nahan Himachal Pradesh.Dr.Tomar has attended various national and international conferences and has delivered various talks in North zone ophthalmological society of India conference 2017 and Himachal Pradesh ophthalmological society conference 2018. In June 2018,he attended World Opthalmology congress in Barcelona Spain,where he presented his thesis work over “Superior and oblique approach in manual small incision cataract surgery” and “ocular firecracker injuries”. In his short tenure as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Tomar has approximately 20 national and intenational publications to his credit.
