Dr. Maclawrence Famuyiwa had his medical education at the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos. He subsequently had Masterís degrees in Public Health and Business Administration from the same University of Lagos and PhD in Public Health from Universidad Central de Nicaragua. He also completed a course in sexual and reproductive health from the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research and another one on Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington. He is more into issues of sexual and reproductive health and infectious diseases in the hospital setting where he currently operates. He has engaged in several researches that incorporate findings from basic researches into clinical practice. He is a member of several professional societies, such as American Public Health Association, Nigerian Medical Association, Medical and Dental Guild of Nigeria. He has authored several papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and a recognized speaker in national and international conferences.
