Dr. Himanshu Bhardwaj is an assistant professor of medicine and pulmonary & critical care medicine at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City. He treats adults with wide range of pulmonary disorders like COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, pleural diseases, lung cancer etc. As a critical care specialist, he is also proficient in treating adult patients in the ICU suffering from life threatening conditions like sepsis, septic shock. His clinical area of interest lies in pulmonary vascular diseases and he is the director of pulmonary hypertension treatment program at the university of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bhardwaj has published extensively in the field of pulmonary medicine and he is actively involved in research in several pulmonary medicine areas likely pulmonary hypertension, pleural disease and cystic lung disease. He has investigated the methods of measuring pleural fluid glucose values at the bedside using a glucometer. He has presented in various international pulmonary disease conferences like American college of chest medicine, American thoracic society etc. Dr. Bhardwaj completed his fellowship in pulmonary & critical care medicine from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City. He finished his medical school at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla India. He is a member of American college of chest medicine, American thoracic society and Oklahoma thoracic society.
