Mr. Uchenna Okore was born in 1991. He graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria in 2014 with Bachelor Degree in Crop Science and Technology. In 2016, he started his professional career as an Agronomist in a Modern Technology driven Agribusiness Company that grows vegetables in greenhouses using hydroponics. His passion towards research and interest in learning new things has led to the development of best pest control methods for Vegetables. Amongst other professional engagements, Uchenna Okore has previously worked as a research assistant (Intern) at the National Root Crop Research Institute, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria where he gained relevant experience in Cocoyam, Yam and Cassava production. He was also a member of the Cocoyam Farmers Club that established the Young Farmers Club in Schools in Umuahia to encourage students and youths on how to grow tuber crops. Relevant research work conducted include "Studies on the Control of Leaf Spot Disease of Okra Using Mulching" in 2014 and various research works on various agricultural areas such as Crop Improvement, Crop physiology, Pest and Disease Management. More recently, he concluded an independent research on controlling vectors of viral transmitted diseases of vegetable crops in South Western Nigeria. He has been trained and certified by Bayer Crop Science for easier achievement of local G.A.P.
