Dr. Nilusha Malmuthuge done his Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science at University of Alberta, Canada (2011 - 2016) and his Master’s in Animal Science (Thesis based) at University of Alberta, Canada (2009-2011). He achieved his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with honors at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka (2003-2007). He also awarded Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship in the year (2016-2018) and JB Russell Young Scientist Award in the year (2015).
Dr. Nilusha Malmuthuge main Research Expertise is on Molecular biological techniques (nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, Sanger sequencing, cloning, PCR-DGGE); Next generation sequencing (Illumina sequencing, 454 sequencing) for amplicon-based sequencing, whole genome sequencing of metagenome, and transcriptome sequencing; Peripheral blood mononuclear cell isolation; Immunohistochemistry.
