Dr. Toralben Patel joined Cardiac and Vascular Consultants Group from Mayo Clinic Health System Waycross, Georgia. She is a fellowship-trained non-invasive cardiologist and board certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, vascular ultrasound interpretation, cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. Dr. Patel has a special interest in women’s heart disease and cardiac imaging. She practices evidence-based medicine with emphasis on providing best quality of care to her patients. Dr. Patel completed residency in internal medicine at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and then pursued cardiovascular diseases fellowship at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania. During fellowship, Dr. Patel was awarded the prestigious “American Heart Association Women in Cardiology Trainee Award for Excellence”. Dr. Patel served as Chief Cardiology Fellow during the last year of her fellowship. Dr. Patel also holds a Master of Public health from UMDNJ (University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ) School of Public health now referred as Rutgers School of Public health. Dr. Patel remains active in research, evidenced by her involvement as a member of several editorial boards for peer-reviewed journals and reviewer for many journals. She has published book chapter, and many peer-reviewed manuscripts.
