Mr. Volodymyr Kovalchuk finished National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI" in 1996 year and took diploma on heat physics. Dr. Volodymyr Kovalchuk got PhD in Engineering Sciences (2001), namely in agricultural land reclamation. He was modeling heat and moisture transfer in the organic drained soils. He has been working in the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation NAAS (Kyiv, Ukraine) since 1999 till now. V. Kovalchuk is a Principal Research Scientist at the Information Technology and Innovation Marketing Department. Dr. Volodymyr Kovalchuk got a Doctor of Science in Engineering (agricultural land reclamation) in 2016 year. In your doctorate work he has applied a system analysis for the practical measures to preventing and controlling underground flooding in irrigated areas. On this basis were implemented the unique combined drainage systems to protect irrigated areas. Also were defined the environmental safe irrigation rates and infiltration values. In 2017 V. Kovalchuk was appointed as a visiting Professor of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Water Engineering and Water Technology at the State Higher Educational Institution "Kherson State Agricultural University". Now he is a supervisor of one post-graduate student in the field of agricultural land reclamation and of 4 students majoring in water engineering and water technology for Masterís degree. Dr. Volodymyr Kovalchuk has published four books and more than 50 scientific papers.
Dr. Volodymyr Kovalchuk provides the research on information technology in agriculture, land reclamation (irrigation and drainage), a system analysis, control and modeling of soils water regime. He also studies water needs for the agricultural plants in conditions of the Climate Change.
