Dr. Laoye Babafemi, J. is a Lecturer at Afe Babalola University, Ado –Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria (ABUAD). He completed his undergraduate program and bagged a B.Sc. Degree in Human Biology with First Class (Honors) at the same University where He currently works in the year 2013. (ABUAD). He bagged his Masters in Biology (Biotechnology) in the Year 2016. He has written papers with his colleagues on neurodegeneration (Neuroscience) and Cancer. He has experience in animal handling, electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, behavioural studies and cell biology. He is very passionate about imparting knowledge to students about science.
Dr. Laoye Babafemi, J. research interest is in D2R receptor signaling in the brain, addiction, and neurodegeneration in young adults and adults respectively. The brain is an important part of the human body which is part of the central nervous system. The use of illicit drugs and substances that may mar the brain is globally common amongst young adult. Laoye focuses on how these substances affect mobility and cognition with the use of behavioural study tools.
