Dr. Balarabe Rabiu Mohammed is a Senior Lecturer of Parasitology and Entomology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Abuja, Nigeria. Born on the 10th of August, 1967, he graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria- Kaduna State (Nigeria) in 1992. He obtained his MSc Parasitology (2010) from Bayero University, Kano and PhD Molecular Entomology (2015) from Abertay University, Dundee (In collaboration with Vector Group, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine) United Kingdom. Dr. Mohammed joined the services of University of Abuja in 2009 as Lecturer II, promoted to Lecturer 1 (2012) and Senior Lecturer (2015). He is currently under consideration for the position of an Associate Professor. He has authored over 33 peer reviewed journal articles and presented papers in the area of Parasitology and Molecular Entomology in international conferences and symposia in several countries including; UK, Germany, Italy and Singapore. He serves as an Editorial Board Member in more than 5 reputed journals and recently being appointed as a Member Asian Council of Science Editors (No: 234.16432). He currently goes through a fellowship program at the College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria (CVSN), Zaria Center, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
