Dr. Riccardo Cusma Piccione born in Italy, graduated from the Liceo Classico.Graduated in 2013 at the University of Insubria in Nursing, in 2016 he obtained the master's degree in "Operating Room Infirmary", at the University of Insubria. During the years of study he worked at an Italian pre-hospital emergency rescue service association, starting in 2009. The work experience is composed of the figure of anesthesia nurse in the operating room of general surgery, vascular, thoracic, gynecological, urological, in laparotomic surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotics in the election and emergency. He worked as Hemodynamic room nurse and scrub in cardiac hemodynamics and electrophysiology, critical area nurse of inter-hospital transport in the election and emergency regime. In recent years he has deepened the cardiac surgery field, becoming an operating room nurse and scrub nurse in cardiac surgery, specializing in ECMO care. She currently works as a critical care nurse in cardiac surgery intensive care unit, with particular interest to patients undergoing venoarterial ECMO. At the hospital he is part of the emergency - emergency teaching group. He is a professor in the Master in Operating Room Nursing since 2016, dealing with simulations, crisis resource management and teaching in the field of emergency - emergency. He is also the author of simulations in the health field, both at the Master for infirmary of the oepratoria hall, and in the extra-hospital setting in the health assistance at an Italian rescue association. Author of several scientific articles in emergency - emergency, he won the best nursing abstracts award at 7th EUROELSO in Prague about the nursing care in patient during VA ECMO support.
Dr. Riccardo Cusma Piccioneinterest developed and research field is the cardiac arrest in the operating room and in the perioperative and perianesthesiological period, with particular application of crisis resource management and simulation in health, in order to implement technical and non-technical skills.
