Dr. Wael A. Al-Dakroury is Director of the Communication Disorders Department at Psych Care Clinics, Clinical Professor at the Communication Disorders Department, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University and Consultant/Head Speech-Language Pathology Services, Center for Autism Research - Research Centre, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. Dr. Al-Dakroury is a US-trained Speech Language Pathologist at the Master level (San Jose State University, California) and UK- trained at the PhD level (Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh). Dr. Al-Dakroury is holding his Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), USA since July 2000. Over 25 years, he worked as Consultant Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Supervisor, and Professional Trainer for different medical and educational institutions. Dr. Al-Dakroury received the Award of Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Association for Speech and Hearing (ASHA) for four consecutive periods (2007-2019). Dr. Wael is fortunate enough to be regionally recognized speaker and professional trainer, which give him the chance to be invited by several governmental and private entities to train and supervise their SLPs and physicians (i.e., Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, and Egypt).
Dr. Al-Dakroury research and publication interests focus on the pragmatic disorders in ADHD and Autism children, as well as, language disorders in pediatrics.
