Biography

Dr. Renuka Menon currently is a Research Associate in the section of Neonatology of Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Menon completed her Ph.D in Neuroendocrinology from Department of Biotechnology, Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. Then she completed postdoctoral training at Weizmann Institute of Sciences, Israel and Vanderbilt University, USA. Dr. Menon serves as a reviewer of the International Journal of Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine and Journal of Obesity and Overweight. She also served as the member of the editorial panel of the journal CPQ Women and Child Health. Dr. Menon has over 18 years of experience in Biomedical Research. Her current research focuses of adrenomedullin receptor regulation of lung development and neovascularization.


Research Interest

Lung Development, Hyperoxia, Adrenomedullin receptor, Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor, Antioxidant Pathway, Angiogenesis, pancreas regeneration, diet induced obesity, insulin resistance, and regulation of pancreatic beta cell proliferation and insulin secretion.
