Dr. Yun received her Ph.D. in food and nutrition from Yonsei University (2009) and a Registered Dietitian from Ministry of Health and Welfare in South Korea (1996). She is a former research assistant and teaching assistant at Hannam University (1998-2000); research assistant at Yonsei University (2005-2009); research scientist at Ilsong Institute of Life Science (2009-2011); research scientist at Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (2012-2018). Currently, she is a director of Research and Development at Re&C Bio. She has served as an editorial board member for the International Journal of Nutrition and Food Sciences (2016-present) and a reviewer for the Clinical Nutrition Research (2017-present). Dr. Yun is an expert in risk assessment of chemicals derives from manufacturing and cooking based on Total Diet Study. She has studied illegal compounds and prohibited natural ingredients in dietary supplements and isolated and structurally characterized novel sibutramine analogue and sildenafil analogue. She has contributed to the management of food safety as providing useful methods to identify the adulteration of dietary supplement.
